The best way to learn a language is to practise it daily. But how if you don’t have a suitable language partner? I found «Tandem» and started to use this way to communicate. It could be beneficial, and I found some excellent contacts that became essential for me.
But I admit, not all contacts are valuable. Often they end after a few shared lines or days. Sometimes the other half lost interest, or I was the one who got lazy and stopped with writing. This isn’t a big deal and happens in daily life too. More annoying is the circumstance that some people pretend to learn a language and if you write a simple sentence, they don’t understand you. Do they add a language to their list to get more attention?
