The pride movement in the UK celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and the British Royal Mint releases a special 50p coin. The first pride in London took place in 1972 and is hosting more than 1.5 million people nowadays in London’s streets.
The designer Dominique Holmes created a coin featuring London Pride’s values of protest, visibility, equality and unity in rainbows, the worldwide symbol of the Pride movement.
